Description
This was made using the finest silk, looted from a Caravan on the Old Silk Road which left from Xian in China along many dangerous routes to Rome, passing through Tehran, Baghdad and Ankara. We did not have a sewing machine, or possess a needle between us so the pieces were cut out individually using some improvised cutting shears made from crab claws. We collected the saliva from 7 spitting camels and mixed this with a little gum Arabic which we had extracted from a small Acacia tree en route, enabling us to stick each leaf individually. We hope you may be interested in the result, slightly frayed as it is, if only for it's curiosity value:-))

Nice work, Jenn. Inventive use of camel spit, too! I never would've thought of that. Then again, there's probably a lot of things I never thought of...
