Kort - I've been enjoying looking through all these evocative pictures of Cumberland Island you posted. They make me want to visit, though I don't know when or if I'll actually make it there. I've always enjoyed visiting ruins - a week I spent in Rome a few years back springs to mind as the most obvious example, but these remind me more of the ruins of brick buildings in the middle of a forest in New Hope, Pennsylvannia that I visited about 35 years ago. They gave me the same feeling of the impermanence of human creations being dwarfed by the lushness & wildness of the natural world as these photos of yours do. Thanks for sharing...
