Description
Whaaaaaaaa? by Anias
Anias woke with a start and for a moment couldn't figure out where he was. Then all his memories came flooding back to him. His frustrated attempt at breaking up the ring of women hating man killers, the muscle bound brainless hulk who hauled him unceremoniously to headquarters, and his numbskull colleagues who believed the faradiddle of lies and tossed him into this miserable cell and left him here.
The final indignity occurred just before he fell asleep when they tossed a couple of about to be sick drunks into the cell with him. It was obvious from the snoring which was enough to rival that of Cerberes with a cold that the drunks had fallen asleep. It was also obvious from the smells that they had both gotten rid of excess wine in ways Anias didn't want to think about.
A few dim stars could been seen from the window of his cell. Anias focused on them as he made his plans for revenge. He would approach the Government Officials and petition for a change in the law saying that no unmarried woman, whether single or widowed, could own or operate a business of her own. All women had to be under the protection of a male who would control their money and other property. Any woman found walking the streets alone would be considered no better than she ought to be and fair game for the attention of any male.
That would be a good start for reforming Athens.
As for his traitorous colleagues, Anias fell back to sleep as he plotted his idea for their perfect punishments. He never did mentally finalize his plans for the statue the grateful citizens of Athens would build in his honor.
