Description

I love flying and I love the window seat. What trip would be complete without a shot from the clouds.? This to date is one of the coolest shots I've ever gotten from an airplane. And I might say without the reflection of the glass! Talk about depth perception! A happy weekend to all and thanks so much for all the comments and visits. I really do enjoy them! : )

Cool Pic Michelle. Before reading what it was, I thought I was seeing some kind of pyramid or road maybe. This reminds me of one of my favorite poems "High Flight". For those that live in a cave or something (lol) here it is: High Flight Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue, I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew - And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand and touched the face of God. Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee No 412 squadron, RCAF Love the pic and I too always request a window seat. Even if that means the hassle's involved with making a trip to the head. Hugs from Dave :^)

Thought it was a pyramid at first glance, lol. I love the wing seats and this is what I usually see, lol. Love looking down to the earth below...makes one feel....small :)

I freely admit I had no idea what I was seeing from the thumbnail - but this a great image. PS Is that a strobe light - or is a pac-man critter trying to get out of the leading edge? :P

A great perspective and the first thing I noticed was the upward strain on the wing. Freedom with almost nothing around!

I couldn't possibly take a photograph as good as this from this perspective [I have acrophobia - although I steel myself to fly, I very rarely look out of the window]. Still, I can readily admire the technical skill in making this shot. Excellent. Mike

Isn't it a miracle to see the world from these perspectives. Such a creative shot. CC

Like Dave, I thought it was a pyramid at first, until I saw the pic. Then I saw the wing of a plane. Hope you had a great trip and got a BIG BUNCH of rest. Huggs...Silkylady...

Just got off the phone with Dave he was trying to help me do a Bryce image almost there and a glitch...Oh I wanted to cry.... He also talked about you as well... Sweetie he is such a wonderful guy....and I think you and he would make the perfect couple.... Go ahead have some fun....go for him.... He is smart...witty...attentive..funny...attractive and so very nice... All very good qualities...and I am sure that you are as well.... We only have one chance in life...and I say live it up...fly to see him.... I think it would be wonderful for both of you... I hope you don't think I am butting in but he is just so wonderful and you too seem to fit together hand in hand....... If you decide to let loose and go let me know....
