Description

A lit up morning water lily in remeberance to my Grandmother who has just passed away at 98. I choose this image cause of of how it was lit up like the light that she was. No one ever said a bad word of her. She had a quiet strength that was amazing. At 98 she still had her nails done . She was a classy lady who was always dressed perfectly and neatly . She is someone I admired. She never talked about the past always remaining positive. I wanted to share this picture of her at with her mother in 1912 but my scanner is not working ,. She is at the Santa Monica pier, there is big rollercoaster behind them that was torn down so many years ago ...She was only 4 standing next to her Mother in a long flowing white victorian dress and hairstyle that fit the time . She had thick strawberry blond hair and wore a white pleated childs gown and held a little pail . I look at that picture and wonder what life was like then - it was the same time the Titanic sunk. 98 is a pretty long time to live..., finally she is at rest but i will miss her. She used to make the best blueberry buckwheat pancakes..I wish I had the recipie for them... So dedicating this to her. All my family is getting together for the first time in years for the funeral this Monday so I will be gone again for a while. Goodbye dear Grandmother I will miss you....
