I think that experiment went very well !!! and you did something that i can not get to work.. The reflections in the glass. so that worked out GREAT too a rating of 5.. of course

Wow! Love this style. Maybe a little more transparency on the candles, and the objects on the drawer thingy at the back need more defining/lighting, but otherwise, it's great!

I think from a modeling and texturing standpoint you're dead-on, but the render itself could use some work, perhaps try doing it in mental ray to bring out some realism? There are no caustics, and the glass bottles on the right aren't lit properly at all. Also, using subsurface scattering on the candles would be wonderful!

Great experiment. Looks like there should be more falloff on the candlelight though, and it would be great to see some caustics through the glass.
