Description

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I visited Leavenworth Bavarian Village in Leavenworth WA. While we were wandering through the crowds, I saw this freshly snow-covered tree with berries. I just bought a Sony Alpha100 DSLR, and wanted to get a good closeup shot of the tree and berries. I used a 70mm lens setting at ISO400 speed, and no flash. This was my first time that I truly was able to accurately get the depth of field effect. The muted snow covered trees in the background makes the berries "pop". I am still learning about this camera, and plan to take many more nature shots here in the Seattle area. Please feel free to comment. -Starkdog
