up in the Bolivian andes. And I had to post it like that, or nobody would believe that the lower one has no postprocessing!

I saw a show a long time ago about Flamingos,if I remember correctly this water has a very high acidic level to it hence the reddish pinkish tone.These birds have very tough skin on their legs making them impervious to the acidy water but over time does tint their plumage pink.An excelllent capture!Boy you really go the extra mile for a picture! Musta been hotter than heck! Thanks though! :B eaver !

I recall that in zoos they have to add some sort of coloring to the Flamingo food in order for them to retain the color they pick up from the water in their natural habitat. Great shot!

Truly incredible! SIGH I must add that the "hill" in the background really catches my eye too. I might have composed this shot with more sky to contrast that amazing pinkish red water. Great work though! Thanks for sharing.
