Description
This picture was taken at Whitefish Point in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. I was taking pics of family on the beach and, when we were all done, we headed back to the car and I look up to see this!
I framed it in-camera the way I wanted it to look (only one crop done digitally to change the aspect ratio width to fit an 18"x24" print on an Epson 7600) I processed the RAW file simply by bumping up the shadows slider to just before it clipped the shadows. I did a minor selective color adjustment layer to improve contrast and saturation.
Canon EOS 10D EF 24-70mm 2.8L @ 24mm f/22 for 1/200s.
