Description
GVDV's last upload gave me a lot to think about. Wasn't I on the same way? Didn't I upload crap just to upload something? Haven't I neglected my family and friends, especially my dogs, to do Poser crap? Didn't I spend a lot more money than I should for Poser stuff I then used only once if ever?
The answers were yes, yes, yes and yes!
As a result I made my own little Poser charter:
- Poser is my servant, not my master.
- I will never again buy anything for Poser without having slept one night over the purchase.
- I will never again upload anything just to upload something.
- I will never again upload an image without having slept over it and find it still worth uploading.
- I will never again make an image when I feel uninspired and have no idea.
- It's not the quantity of uploads that counts. Less is more.

Well this image is wonderfull. Love it. And believe me, we all or the most of us was going the same way like you. Poser is really a passion. But if you dont take care, it is going be to a obsession. Hope you will feel better soon. :)

Dear Michael, Poser is the media - not the message! And what the real message should be is "FUN." If you are having fun doing something, then it's worthwile - and if not - do something else. This is mostly a restatement of what you've said, but in one aspect I think goes a step further. Why are we here at Renderosity? We don't get paid for it like a job - we are here for our OWN entertainment. If what we do pleases ourselves, then we have have succeeded in our goal. NOTHING we do will please everyone here - and some things may not please anyone - but they should please you. This is a "hobby" for all of us and everyone approaches it differently. Everyone has different styles, different techniques, different subjects - do they stuff that you enjoy - do it when you feel like doing it - do it when it's fun to do! And if it's not fun, then do something else! That's just my two cents worth - but it is how I personally operate. I may go a week without posting anything - I may post three in a day - I just let it happen. Anyway - I hope you had fun doing this particular image. If you did - then it is a success regardless of what we say. And if you didn't get enjoyment out of doing it, then nothing we say can make that time you spent anymore fun. I like it a lot - and the fact that I like it might add to the fun, but it can never REPLACE the fun!!!! Very thought provoking post for all of us!!!
