Hi all from a smoggy and horribly polluted China. What was your image of Wuhan? Was it stunning mountain scenery as seen in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? If so you may be disappointed by the vista of modern day Wuhan. Keep safe all! Rob :0) xx

I never saw Crouching Tiger, and sadly I'm terribly uneducated in the field of geography so I've never even heard of Wuhan. I suppose this could be a blessing rather than a curse because now I can't be disappointed by the smog and pollution you've so expertly captured here. This is a fantastic, gritty portrait of a modern city -- and very 3-D, the way the more distant buildings recede from view. Lift the smog and this could be Portland, Maine as viewed from the top of a parking garage; it's astonishing how so many cities look so similar, even halfway around the world. Wonderful shot.

Well - that looks inviting! NOT! It's a bit frustrating that even with a bad example given by the western nation, China opted to make the same stupid environmental mistakes as the west, despite the option and ability to do better. The shot itself is good photography!

I'm definitely NOT a big fan of smog BUT I have to say that it makes a lovely layered look of this scenario though :) This is lovely! Cheers, Tina P.S. Now I've learnt something new today - Wuhan is in China! :) hehehe
