Description

I was driveing home and the clouds was just breaking. I saw the riseing moon and it was just behind the clouds. I was rushing home to get my film camera. I got home and by the time I set up with tripod the moon was just comeing out of the clouds. I took two shots of the mmon just to see how it do. I was shock when I saw this I did not noted the round cloud just above the moon and I know I never would have got it on my digital camera. I did cut and do some touch ups on the image for I had to cut off a roof top and a lightpole that was turn on at the time. Hope I can get more moon shots in the future. thanks for looking and comments

Jocko this is a great photo, it is amazing that it is the moon and not the sun! Does the sun that low in the sky tend to create more red and ornage colors, and the moon behind clouds and low only goes from it's usual gray to a bit yellowish? Excellent photo capture!

That is the most unusual cloud hanging over the moon. Looks like a soft blanket. The sepia color effect is magnificent. It had to be moon glow! Super job, Jocko!

What a stunning capture !! We had the northern lights last evening , I wish I could have photographed that. I don't know how people can get such lovely night shots, I will have to read up on it :) This is truly a great shot!! !!~GORGEOUS~!!
