Description

On Nov. 15th, just one month ago, I uploaded Iris 4, Iris Jacquier model-sheet. Unfortunately not so many people saw this post in spite of the fact that to have a model sheet is a key point for comic artists. Even if you use Poser figures i) you shall take a serious advantage to get true custom figures in the way that I explained on Oct. 13th, A custom character in 10 minutes (this solution that I mentioned for N-Sided Quidam is ALSO what you shall be able to do in Poser7), and not use standard-default ones, but also ii) it

To give the colour to a separate artist is a very common custom among European comic artists. Same true in the US, but in the US the work is even more split into different people: some do the final draft, others do the inking, others make the color, others again add the lettering This illustration is done in the comic mood i.e. with clearly defined India ink outlines. At this time (1998) I had only begun to draw since 2 years. I did'nt practice watercolor (I still do not today), I had neither Photoshop nor Illustrator, and Tria markers plus watercolor pencils would be too slow for this order (71 drawings). Later, as I have posted earlier (and I shall do new posts with this style in some time) I used very much Adobe Illustrator to do such type of order. If I had such today, clearly I would have done the color myself (with Photoshop). BUT I am working on a big comic project around my heroin Silvia (a close friend of Iris Jacquier here): I shall do the color ONLY in test pages (to have the contract with the publisher), I prefer to concentrate on the story and the drawing to save time.
