Description
This is my first Bryce Render in about 7 months. I made the decision to stay away from CG while I was recovering from my second cornea transplant. I thought I'd do a render of what I remember of route 66 a road I traveled as a youngster with my parents. Anyway this is my impression of the old road. All the modeling was done in Bryce except for the cars, Schrurbies and Viewpoint. Thanks for Viewing.

Great job and POV. Try softening the light source that is casting the harse shadows.

Nice work, considered bringing it to life with an IBL render?

Thanks for the comments! I don't even know what IBL is guess I'll have to research it. I went from CA to TX on route 66 a few times, between the ages of 6 and 12.

Wonderful scene- I can remember spending days going from the midwest to Arizona on this road.

We must be in Arizona or New Mexico as I see mountains off a ways. I travelled route 66 in May of 1965 to my first real job. The easy snarl of a Corvette pulled me along. I no longer had a hobby or an unwanted old car. Now I had a way of life.

Exellent pic! I never got a chance to travel this route in its heyday, but I have seen a lot of pics from the net and I loved the show "Route 66" as a kid. Very well detailed!
