Description
This is 'Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem' pub near Nottingham Castle (Robin Hood and all that) ,England. It is said that the mediaeval knights set off to the crusades from here. The pub is built into the caves that run like catacombs under Nottingham.(Handy for booze smuggling in the olden days and good for storage now:-)Close inspection will reveal the date 1189 on the front...so a truly 'vintage' building.More photos to follow:-) Hope you enjoy:-)

Great memories! I was there back in the early 80's on one of my rare trips to the area!

Cool - For Americans this would be an equivalent to the jurassic period. Two weeks ago was a 50th anniversary of a local landmark here - and all speakers underlined the "historic" significance of the building. Go figure. Great shot!

Wow! that is quite amazing that it has underground tunnels runing under Nottingham! and quite great shape this place is in :-) also I love the style of it, and built into the mountain! very amazing to say the least.
