Description
The gateway to the stars from the movie/TV series "Stargate". This model is high res. It's got 2.6M tri's in it. All the details you see (except dirt and scratches) are modelled, not bump/normal mapped.
Posted it in high res otherwise the details would be lost.
Now I've got to build a scene to put it in :D

wow. I tried the same thing myself once or twice, but had the Stargate font to work with (except it was hollow, so I had to fill in the insides..;) This must have been some serious work if you modeled everything. Appreciate what you went through..great work.

Oh wow, that is one detailed gate! Have you ever done other Star gate type models? like a DHD or G'ould technology in general?

No, not yet. DHD is next on the list. I'm planning to create an off-world scene. Not quite sure on how that is going to look, but it definately needs a DHD :) Already found some schematics and pictures to work off.

Good design !! But could'nt see all on my PC screen !!Too large .. :'[ I think you could upload it in resized mode on R'r as we do in photography, because every one could open it in zoom and see entiere pic... Waiting for your next one with a scenario intoo !! q:) Magali
