Description
I love the woods. The atmosphere sometimes is so special. Why.. I think it's the contrast between green and brown, the shapes of the trees, the light and lots and lots more reasons. Even a simple object can look very special.. well.. that is what I think.

I think you see it beautifully. I, too, love the woods. For me its not just beautiful to look at but the smells are as inticing as the smell of cookies baking on a chilly winter's day. The aroma of the earth, older than time, damp from the heavy dew of the night that never seems to completely dry in the deep shadows. The scent of fresh clean oxygen provided by the trees and undergrowth. The hint left on the subtle breeze of animals passing just out of sight. And its the textures - the smooth leaves, the grizzled bark, the sleek stems and natural mulch under the feet. This is one of those photos that brings to mind all the reasons I love the woods. That's what I think. :-)

Nice Shot & great composition. Curious though, there seems to be a lot of leaves on the ground as though it were fall, yet all the leaves on the trees are green. Did you take this in the Spring?
