Description

A shot from just after last Christmas showing the cruel fate awaiting most natural Christmas Trees. Together we can stop this! Remember a Christmas Tree IS just for Christmas! Buy artifical trees and stop the slaughter! Also you don't end up with pine needles in your feet. Merry Christmas to all and thanks to all of you that left comments and viewed my last image.

Mine has roots and will be planted on a farm after Christmas. I hate to see trees cut down. Lonely image.

Reminds me of when I traveled through Texas toward the Mexico border when I was younger and I would see so much tumbleweed stuck in the wire fences along the way. I have always wanted to collect up 4 or 5 of them and stack them for a unique Christmas tree. Unfortunatley, I never seem to get to it. Good shot!

Unfortunate demise to this seasonal icon. And you suggest a chemical solution to others carelessness. Any idea how many jobs are created in tree farming (a non polluting industry)? Good post to get one thinking ;-)

A super shot Mark, looks so sad and forlorn.. In Bay we usually decorate a living tree in our gardens. Do not like to kill anything living.. Hugs. Diane.

A good reminder of christmas and it after effects. Quite sad and unfortunately true.

What? You mean you don't recycle them? Why not? Show some responsibility in your city! Christmas tree farming is a non-polluting industry, creates thousands of jobs like in my state of Oregon, and is good for the earth and air. We recycle them where I live, why aren't you? Fake Christmas trees create pollution in air and water because of the chemicals used in their manufacture. By a real tree instead. They don't pollute!
