'Death's Door'
Since watching Stephen King's 'Kingdom Hospital' TV mini series I am obsessed with haunted hospitals :)
The original image is 5000 X 5000. I built the set in 3D Studio Max and rendered it in Poser 6 with around five hours post-work in Photoshop.
Thanks so much for looking.
Tony

Powerful story/image! Excellent work of art, so much so that this brings a tear to my eyes, and a sense of shock to my thoughts..What is sad, is that this could truely happen to a child, and does all to often..abandoned/lost/lonely/hurt/ take your pick... Exceptional artwork!!!

Cool! Have you seen Lars von Triers' "The Kingdom?" If you haven't, I'd think it'd be right up your (dark, dark) alley.

Yeah, that was an interesting series. I think your images capture the macabre much better. You can do with a still image something that they couldn't quite do with an entire series. Fascinating. I love the detail. I'm so glad you added the close up, I would have missed the tears, which add so much. Amazing image.

Most impressive!! Scary thoughts going through her mind! Hospitals are creepy enough without being abandon!!

Excellent POV! One of the things that makes your images so effective is you use the powers of suggestion, and done as well as you do it, it causes tension and anticipation to build up in us. That which is imagined is far more frightening than what is seen because we each have a tendency to insert what our own greatest horrors would be as the unknown factor in the image. It is a very, very effective technique and you are most definitely a master of it.

I loved Kingdom Hospital... but not nearly as much as I'm loving viewing your gallery! Such a talent you have... especially for the macabre! I love it!
