Yes, I've been testing out V4 too and I don't think I like her morphs very much. She doesn't have ANY ethnicity morphs or Mimic morphs! Her lip morphs are terrible too. But all round she's okay, I like her joints much better - and she is much more realistic in some ways. But anyway, this is a beautiful image ^_^

I love this Shan, she is beautiful. I hear there is a problem with clothing for V4 but in time I guess things will improve...there is bound to be updates on the model herself, in the meantime I will stick with good old V3. Excellent work!...hope you have a great week.

I wondered how long it would be before you gave in and got V4 Shan! From what I have seen so far, unless you get the Pro pack you are stuck with very poor skin textures. She bends nicely and has nice hair though:) Nice pic, love the pussycats :)

Very beautiful, I'm beginning to get cold feet with V4, though some excellent work is out there with V4, including this, I'm not sure it is better than v3. I realize that was never a question just one in the back of my head, thinking about how much I want to invest in a V4 transition!

This is a beautiful image. I'm with you! I'm not too sure about V4.. maybe she will take some getting used to. But so far I don't see anything that special about her. At least you can get her to look good in a render like this one. I don't feel comfortable with most of my V4 renders... Happy Holidays. I'm off for Christmas...see you in the new year.. Tina

I personally think...(as this has become kind of a discussion about the new V )...that this is a typical marketing hoax. It was indeed a rushed publication with V4, just in time before christmas. Now everyone of us fellow artists around the world jumps at it like crazy, because it is new and had a lot of clever strategic ads and promotion ( bigger, faster, better..),and because we are hungry for new artistic components. But in fact, as a stand alone it is useless...nice to play around with, got some good features, but useless...unless all the addons are marketed (which will be again designed by our fellow artists mainly !)to make it useable in a way that it adds some spice to our artworks ! Means we have to wait until there are tons of goods for V4 as we already have tons of goods for V3 that are unfortunately of no use for V4 ;) Hype...DAZ...Dollars.... I found myself thinking about wether I should download it now or not ( Oh wow, exited, the new V !!)... but than again I faced, that it will only make sense together with the most expensive pro pack bundle that it comes with...hmmm...and than I will still have to use the converter to V3 to get the most out of V4 with the items I have ?!?!?!? ... My second thought was, to leave it and stick with V3...because it is only a character to be used in an image, it shouldnt be "the image". The art of the image is not how good the character is but how good it is being used. So, even though the web will be flooded with V4s in the future, that alone doesnt make an image great, no matter how great the character may be. It doesnt replace creativity, composition and atmosphere of an image! And with this all in mind, V3 serves me well... very well ! lovely render! I've been playing with V4 a bit, and while I do like what I see so far (LOVE the eye morphs she has), I am a bit peeved that the V3 textures and clothes etc don't fit her. I'll be pleased when there are more things out for her (and I just can't like the 'sausage' hair)

I agree that there are both good and not so good things with the new V4. I think as far as the image goes though, it's not so bad, it just need some lighting changes and shadow to bring depth to the character and surroundings. But, as you said this is your first with it so it is probably more of a test. Hopefully DAZ will make the necessary adjustments to V4 and make it a free update to V4, wouldn't that be nice. Well Shannon, I think this image came out beautifully! You may not be completely happy with V4, but every new product takes some time to learn to use in the best way, and the character is only one part of the image! I think you did a wonderful job here with V4 and your image is superb!
