Description

I like this picture. It's not terrible complex, nor the most striking image ever to come along. But it is simple and has, I think, a high Image/Work ratio. This may be in contrast to the Poser-Bryce image I have been working on the last few days, which thus far has a large denominator (i.e., lots of work) that will never justify what I can possibly create in any sort of visually appealing manner. I am pushing up against my own talent barrier on that one. Of course, on the other hand you the viewer don't see the "work" that goes into this or any image, just the final product. Maybe. I confess that for me, I have seen images that look nice but the overall effect can't overcome the knowledge that they were slapped together in twelve seconds. This is usually the fifteenth version of the latest Ultra-Cool Battle Suit For Fairies or whatnot. You know what I mean. And yet, we (meaning "me") must keep in mind that you (the "viewer"), don't care about whatever the heck it is I am babbling about here. So I should stop. I could add that for the last day or so I have just felt sickish -- and that it has been a really bad week for various reasons. I could, but that would be wrong, even though I actually have added it using this very old literary "trick" that ceased to be humorous around 1820. So, I'll stop. Oh, this image (the one up there, not the one I am working on or any involving the latest Ultra-Cool Battle Suit of either the Faerie or non-Faerie variety) was made by slapping a lens flare on an test I made within Bryce of some optics (probably a sphere in front of the lens) to make the planet bending effect.

Very nice scene! I especially like the point of view - it's a much different perspective.

I like to see an upside down world like this- It makes me think of looking at the sky (in real life) and imagining I am looking into an inverted bowl.
