Description

Jeff asked me to try another of the images that I'd had memory issues in rendering in P6 with P7 so I chose this one for my second P6/P7 test. To see the first one like this, click here. It's most comparable to the one on top of the two that are merged together there. I don't have written down just exactly what my settings had been in P6, but it wasn't much more than the default settings when you start Poser with texture filtering turned on for the hair, the texture sizes dialed way way way the heck back and shadows turned off. For this image I just loaded it up, maxed out the render settings and hit go. Not only did it render with no memory issues, but I'm working from home today and have 3 different browsers open as well as Outlook, MSN, a explorer window, not to mention the program for work. lol It might have rendered a bit slower than it should/could have because of that, but it still went with no troubles and only took about an hour to do. I'm loving P7 so far. LOL :D It's amazing what a difference just having shadows turned on does to an image. I love the shadow on the floor. John Credits are the same as the previous image.

Sweet! So there we have it- improved memory handling in Poser 7! And this is a wicked cool render to demonstrate that new-found freedom! Right on! The shadows in this are fantastic, particularly the one cast by the window frame- when you look at this compared to the previous renders, you can really see how much realism the shadows add! Fantastic work John!

sounds like p7 is a hit with the memory problems, (however i wont get it as i feel that that part should have been a bug fix for free and i begrudge paying again, baaaar humbug! lol) wonderfully make image John, i wonder if your girls realise that a bloke is looking at them with binoculars from the sky scraper opposite and watching them parade past the window lol. great stuff!! :oD

Yap! Poser 7 renders a lot better, faster and more reliable than Poser 6 did! I'm totally in love with it for that although there are some bugs still... Awesome image! Two gorgeous ladies!
