"I would say the lighting and background still need work" (previous post) I'm sure full view will not add anything to the overall effect of the image.

Way too reflective of a background. I would try something subtle and NOT the same color as your subject in the foreground or middleground. look into HDR images and GI and AO settings. Also, if you want a really good car paint texture, head over to www.frenchcinema4d.com or www.c4dzone.com. They have lots of free models and textures to toy around with. But their car paint for download is really well done. I would get that and maybe study it a bit. Just remember, anyone can do "shiny" stuff, go for realism. No offense meant here, just tryin to help... :) Chachi

Thanks guys... Appreciate the honest feelings you possess ;-) I am new to C4d and trying to get the hang of it. quite a change from Bryce and Vue... the way it works that is.

This looks a bit better than your first post, still a bit of work needed. Try a render with out any GI. Set up a Key, Fill and Backlight with soft or area shadows and lose the reflective background or a least change it's color. Keep it up.

Personally I mostly like this the way it is, especially the colours. Something different from the usual (and very often bland) car renders. A touch of reflection on the windscreen may have helped get the glass more convincing. Hope Rachel liked the render too!

A black, slightly reflective floor, some planes dotted about the scene with a white luminance texture added to them always brings out nice reflections in car renders. It does indeed look better than the last render!
