Je länger man malt, desto mehr ist man Lehrling The longer you paint the more you are an apprentice.

Brief introduction: SaintFox is
-a woman born 1962 at the north sea coast of Germany.
-moved to the german midwest in 1996
-to a small town that offers a lot of medieval inspiration
-has at least two souls
...and about the nick: It's a mixture of my haircolor and a tattooed fox cub that I wear and that looks so saintly as a vegetarian. As long as I can think I enjoyed being creative - and I always loved learning something new! As I had my first look here I so much wanted to do images like the ones I saw in the gallery. But it took me several years to be brave enough to post my first image here. After all I do not understand anymore what made me hesitate so long... I'm a professional artist/illustrator, not at least because of the permanent encouragement of the "Captain of my heart", he's my muse, my secretary, my "wonderwall" against those things that are able to disturb creative processes so easily. Most of my work is published by a german gallery in Gelsenkirchen and available at my own homepage, too. In late 2005 I wask asked for my first collaborated works and so I finally found a second profession in doing my own characters and textures what enables me to give my images even more personal style.
Whenever I start to work on something new - especially when working with characters - there is a moment when the bundle of polygons and pixels suddenly seems to look at me from the other side of the monitor, it's the moment when my creations get personality. This is, at least, what I like to "transport" with my products: artist tools that are able to inspire the people that work with them because they have a kind of "virtual soul".
A woman under influence
Major influences on my work come from other admired artists and music. Some of my favorites: Jan Vermeer van Delft James Jaques Tissot Rembrandt van Rijn Hajime Sorayama Olivia De Berardinis Marcus Gray Herb Ritts Helmut Newton Alberto Vargas Ricky Carralero Gerald Brom ...and, regarding the feelings that I have when doing my characters: Dr. Viktor Frankenstein! Music: Too much to count, alternative and classics preferred but sometimes it has to be soul or jazz, too. The second large influence are people I met here: They comment on my images and help me to enhance them, they share their knowledge and finally some of them decided to involve me in their projects. For me (as I grew up in the before-internet-age) it's still some kind of miracle that people are able to work together independent of where they live.
...and, before I forget, the strongest influence during the last years came from some lines I read about 15 years ago:
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.

I just wish it would rebuild my Poser Runtime will out falling over all the time... eventually.. after picling numerous other runtime folders and returning to my biggie.. it does build and I can get on an Poser again... and there are some stablity problems with rendering that do need to be addressed... but I still rely on mt P6 for serious consistant renders. Exceleltn combination of outfits and hair Meike... you're starting to think klike me...lol AWESOME image Lady... now back to trying to get P7 to see my runtime.

WOW!!!! She is sooooo hot! Your P7 sounds great, too. Wish mine was. It won't crash though. It won't load either. I envy you. Oh well, just waiting for my RMA. At least I get to enjoy yours. She is dynamite. And the light on her hair! As I said earlier, WOW!!!!

Man, I'm glad I don't use poser to render. I can't see anything in here that should crash a program, but then, I've never used Poser to finish anything. :) Having said that, the image is awesome! That outfit just rocks. And I just love the muscle tone in her torso. Great work!
rebelmommy
Fantastic!! I in fact installed my P7 today and am rendering away as I type this:)
shipmanjonathan
Awesome!! I love the work!!
tabala
You are right- P7 IS a better one in rendering... I mostly am a bit confused when I can scale my rendersettings to the best and the Diva works! LOL What I realized is that the prog now has some probs with loading and deleting figures, searching external runtimes and soon. You know I need this option a lot (until January tadaaa^^) But even my PC renders big scenes in maximum rendersetting :) Oh- and the main thing: fantastic image! ;) More tomorrow in an email :)

You are a master at powerful and dramatic images. The lighting is amazing, and your character is. Just. Beatiful! There is so much attention to detail -- her hair, the pose, her props, and clothing. Stunning! *****
MajinBoo
Looks fantastic is P7 worth it? Well I'll know soon enough.

Beautiful artwork as always, you're absolutely amazing at your craft and hope to see more. I bet Poser 7 will be the best when things iron out, overall beautiful image. I wish you and your family the merriest of holidays and a fruitful New Year. JB

Glad to hear poser 7 is improving your workflow... as there is little that could be improved in the images themselves! LOL! This is one wicked and exotic render (and very xmas like too!! Did you think i wouldn't notice the christmas balls on her hairs?!?! ;P ) and the first thing i thought when seeing it was "warrior geisha"... ok, i'm weird... so what? LOL! Very beautiful!!! ;)
awadissk

Very nice! Unusual choice of props to mix and match (feudal Japanese high fantasy?), but a stunning combination.
