I worked in the Air Force engine maintenance shop at edwards AFB one summer where the sockets were all 440 except the ones in the new contractor area through an archway. Someone had made a pigtail to adapt an 880 outlet there to 440 and one of our crew plugged a bearing race heater into it. There is an IQ level where the practical jokes are no longer low life vandalism.
