I have changed the approach I'm taking with the persona that I'm putting forward on this page. Please read my "About Text" for the full story.BIOOriginally my Artist Page included some garbage I had written about exploring other worlds, and after much thought I determined that this approach was far too cavalier given that this page may end up serving as my Business Card.
So, changing to a more professional serious approach, I decided to delete that, and instead talk about why Im posting here, and where I plan to go with my work.
Originally, I had studied Architectural and Mechanical Drafting, but was far more intrigued with Computer Graphics. My fascination lead me from Adobe Page Maker and Illustrator, to Photoshop and Quark, and eventually to 3D software like Bryce and Poser.
I recognize that, at present, my abilities in Bryce and Poser are in their infancy, and that others that post here have more developed talents than I do. However, I learn quickly, and Im not afraid to ask questions, and learn from my peers. And while I will be using Bryce and Poser to create the basic scene, my intention is to go beyond that first layer, and take my work into the arena of Media.
By combining my understanding of Typography and Photoshop ability, with the renders that I create in Poser, I intend to move beyond art for arts sake, and create a valuable marketable product.
I hope to design book covers for works of fiction, graphics for CD covers and related materials, and eventually to find work in the Advertising industry. At this point, Id be satisfied to do work for magazine ads, however, long term, I hope to create 3D animated features for TV and Films.
This is quire a challenge Ive set for myself, starting out at the ground floor with no practical experience in some of these areas and no access to the high end software that is used in the industry: 3D Studio Max, and Maya, however Ill get there. Be prepared to see something incredible!
