the rain effect...is that pw or just the result of special lighting conditions?

About the rain effect, it's only lightning condition that are responsable but I don't understand how it it's made ? i have to study it later.

L'ombre au sol est un peu dure, mais les nuages et la pluie (ombre des nuages dans l'atmosphere) sont superbes.

The cloud shadows seem a bit sharp against the rocky surface, though I do like the realistic light-dark rays!
