Description
Love, moonshine, silence, child
The enchantment has begun
Dark pleats flowing in the wind
Thus the moment came.
The witch alone, in savage beauty
Casts the words and casts the runes
A face she seeks, a name, a voice
The man she wants from far away.
Love, moonshine, silence, will
Her words are strong, her eyes on fire
Heart pounding wildly in her chest
Undaunted love stirs in unrest.
Voices whisper soft and low
Voices murmur here and far
And he, tormented by their witchcraft
Is coming home.
But roads are long and filled with peril
He fends off all, he reaches out
For her, the dark, bewitching woman
For her, that calls to him.
The fiend is here, the fiend is near
She feels him, shrieks, to warn, in fear
But it's too late, she knows and feels
The cold blade through his heart.
Alone, he dies in a ravine
His chest with wam blood overflowing
She's fallen, the last breath she takes
And no more crying now she makes

Interesting, the writing seemed to flow well, read it with ease, no stumbling, although not sure what I think entirely of it quite yet, thoughts are still processing, and thank you for sharing.

Excellent. Powerful, stark words used in a hynoptic cadence; this works. You showed us the elements of this story and let us draw our own conclusions. Great writing, even if Gothic is far from my favorite genre. Dick
