Description

AGAIN on Perry Rhodan! Perry Rhodan is the world's most prolific literary science fiction (SF) series, published since 1961 in Germany (more than 1800 books!). Perry Rhodan is unabashed space opera, picking up (or reinventing) virtually every theme that has ever appeared in science fiction. While critics outside the genre and many within have habitually savaged the series, its multi-decade commercial success has become a literary phenomenon in itself. Here is the "Glador", a deep space transport designed to accommodate a race of human midgets called the Siganese. Fast and agile, the craft hides its superior abilities behind the form of a conventional "ship's boat." The craft first appears in the Perry Rhodan novels in the early 1960s. Disc-shaped, it had the forward projections added in the early 1990s to accommodate a new drive that was attached to the front of the ship. Coincidentally, this gave the Space Jet a profile that resembled a certain Corellian freighter we've all come to know and love. The mesh is totally modelled in Bryce by me such as the custom texture. Comments are welcome :)

Wow......... Back in 1978 I got something like this as a toy in a gumball machine. I'd thought it was a Millenium Falcon knockoff. Now I know!
