Description
As I hurried to the library the next morning, I found it hard to believe that I wanted to spend as much time as possible with Tompkins, but then I realized that Tompkins was the one who had given me the key to unlock the secrets to reading. As a result of Tompkins, I was discovering the history of the Cimmarian people. It was time to read Chapter 4.
Chapter 4
Ya climbed the mountain never giving into despair. He ate and drank sparingly as he wanted to conserve the supplies he had brought with him. The way grew more difficult the closer Ya came to the clouds. At times it was more like climbing a rock wall than walking up a mountain. As he reached the clouds, his vision was limited. He was surrounded by a cold gray mist. A lesser man might have turned back as the mist grew thicker, but Ya was determined. He had spent days climbing already; he was not turning back.
It took at least full day to climb through the clouds. It was difficult to judge time in that fog. The way was difficult and often hidden from him. The rocks were slippery, and the danger of a fall was always present. Ya traveled slowly, but surely, and eventually he emerged above the clouds. Looking down, Ya could only see mounds of gray. Looking up he saw the mountain summit and what looked like something perched on it.
Sunlight streamed down on Ya as he made his final climb towards the top of the mountain. As he grew closer, he could see that at the apex was a gigantic chair on which sat what could only be Crom.
Ya climbed higher and as he got within hailing distance called out.
