Description

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, is a celebration of the victory of the Maccabees and the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple. It also commemorates the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days when there was only enough oil left in the temple for one day! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The image shows the last day of Chanukah, because of eight burning candles :) I celebrated Yule yesterday. At first I wanted to do an image for Yule itself but then I was in the mood for an foreign celebration, so I did this one. So I wish a blessed Chanukah full of wonders, a merry christmas and a beautiful belated Yule for everyone. I think your lighting of this image is absolutely perfect. As a pagan, I kind of would like to have seen the Yule image, but perhaps next year, eh? Really nice job with this.
