Thought this would make for an interesting macro; at least it's a departure from my regular run of things. Actually, this one was much larger than the average garden variety cone. Captured December 2005 at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful LaCanada/Flintridge, California. Thanks for dropping by and for your comments, both pro and con, but mostly pro!

Iwe do not have these type around here. Yes we have pine trees and all but never saw a pine cone like this. this is a very good shot

Interesting capture, the only thing I don't like is the small size. It looks intriguing enough to warrant something larger. Nice shot ol boy!!
