Thought this would make for an interesting macro; at least it's a departure from my regular run of things. Actually, this one was much larger than the average garden variety cone.
Captured December 2005 at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in beautiful LaCanada/Flintridge, California.

Iwe do not have these type around here. Yes we have pine trees and all but never saw a pine cone like this. this is a very good shot

Interesting capture, the only thing I don't like is the small size. It looks intriguing enough to warrant something larger. Nice shot ol boy!!
