I am a developing artist working on improving my abilities to create beautiful digital landscape compositions. Without the help and suggestions of the many fellow artists in this community, it would be a long time before I reach the next level.
BIO
I am a retired procurement professional who has long had an interest in photography and painting; and, lately in computers and photorealistic natural landscapes. I hope to become more proficient and perfect my abilities to produce acceptable work. My experience in art started at a very early age when I would spend many hours sketching and painting. I had instruction at The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. I did some freelance work for Flying Models, Model Airplane News and Top Flite Models creating plans and illustrative construction sequences for magazines and kit models. I had spent more than 20 years designing, building and flying radio controlled model airplanes...a very rewarding hobby for me. During the 1970s, I spent 11 years in the hobby of "bonsai"; the Japanese art of miniature trees. In my first 7 tree entry in a contest, all 7 trees were awarded ribbons in various categories. Japanese landscaping became a passion for me where I completed a 3 year project creating a Japanese landscape around my home in Oak Forest, Illinois. I also did this work for several other people in our community. In 1987 I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I currently make my home. The love of the American southwest and all its beauty is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. Now that we have computers, digital cameras; and, Terragen; I'll have enough to do for a long, long time.

I agree Bob. The camera interface is complicated, however.. Planetside told me that the camera interface will be changed along with more features, so don't get used to them :-). There will be more and more changes. You did GREAT, Bob !!! I am not getting involved with this progarm until is completely finalized. I still love my old Terragen ;-)

Very realistic and fun to view "wide scope" landscape. The haze in the distance, the shdows to the clouds, and the beautiful western "big picture" you have presented here is a treat for the eyes!!!

Looking good Bob! I'm still looking for a more finalized version of TG2 before I jump in with both feet! Hopefully one with 3D import capability. The option to render trees, shrubs, plants & models was mentioned as a future component.I'm wondering if that idea is still in the works. Of course with those changes I would anticipate a change in cost as well. I hope they keep it affordable.
