Description
Experimenting with photo textures has taught me two things: they look great and make procedural textures look terrible.
Other lessons from this image include: imperfectly scaled foreground objects sometimes appear more realistic in size, a scene without a plan is just a collection of objects, empty space is very noticable, doors need handles.

excellent modeling and textures

You're right about textures.. plus sometimes they cause my Bryce to crash??? (often than sometimes) and I don't have a clue what's the problem. For example if I try to apply a sky photo to a huge cube... this causes 90% crash? Very mysterious. To this pic I would add some lights and shadows... more dramatic feelin you know:) But well done anyways and Merry Xmas!

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately for this image I am finished. As an example of how things can go wrong this is outstanding. I had repeated texture problems for a while until I installed a BR5 update/patch. There was one occasion when custom textures caused problems. I distinctly recall uninstalling Age Of Empires II and the problem went away. Hope this little bit of info helps.
