Looks as if you used a Conklin filter with grey on two side pannels with center clear, and just how you did it without one boggles me. But it is very effective use of diffused color for this scene!

Beautiful scene and capture! Note to visnu, this effect can also be accomplished in post using a gradient as a brightness/contrast adjustment layer in Photoshop :) Cheers!
