Description

Jaffa entered behind Marr and stood there. She rolled her eyes and said in a low voice, "What are you doing here, with your gun no less?" He pulled off his helmet and sighed. "I have a commission. Official duties of a Flying cities Bounty-Hunter. My LAST commission, by the way. We'll be set for life after this one. This is a Royal commission from Prince Salva, himself!" She frowned and teared up. "I HATE what you do! I hate it! It's slavery! That makes you a SLAVER!" He sighed in sadness as he heard the same old arguments from her. He said carefully, "Baby, I do NOT want to fight. I know you're a doctor, and think that all living things should run free, EVEN if they're built to serve humans. Look--I respect your opinion.....but this IS the last job. Baby, we'll be set for life! We'll be rich!" He dug in his pocket and pulled out a small golden ring with three diamonds on it. He gestured at her back with it and said awkwardly, "Uhm, this was my mother's. You mean more to me than anything. I want you to have it. I mean...Doctor Marr Moderaan, would you consent to becoming my wife?" She froze for a moment of shock and wheeled on him. She blinked, tears running down her cheeks and after a long moment, stuck out her hand to him. She answered in a trembling voice, "I would. I will. Yes. The LAST! This one is the LAST? Right?" He smiled and nodded. "The absolute last, honey. With this commission, we''ll be able to live on City 64 as nobles! You could even get that scar on your face fixed. If you wanted to." She giggled. "You sound nostalgic about it." He kissed her, and then kissed it. "Makes you look dangerous....like a woman of action. Sexy." She broke away, and said breathlessly, "Whoa! If my mom catches us, there'll be hell to pay! You know she hates your guts! Same for Dad! 'No cookies for you!' " Jaffa laughed at her imitation of her father, and remarked, "I had some crazy naked lady talk about cookies in the hangar! God! Takes all types!" Marr blew a rude sound and remarked with a raised eye-brow,"That's Toxic! Her friends were spray-painting her with Synthetic skin to hide her from the Madjulla. A shame, really...she has such bright colors to her skin. Sort of like a butterfly." The intercom chirped, "Marr? This is your Mom. Breakfast is ready in the cafeteria." She held up a hand and said, "Be right there, Mom!" The intercom chirped off and she turned to Jaffa. He had put his helmet back on and looked grim. He grabbed up his triple barreled 'Law-master' and jerked the door open. He was brusque and said abruptly, "I have to go. I have a job to do. We'll talk later." He left without another word. She frowned and shrugged. She would be SO happy to get him out of that awful job he was doing. Her stomach growled, and she couldn't remember the last time she had eaten. She headed for the cafeteria with a song on her lips and a diamond ring on her finger. --TO BE CONTINUED!-- Media is Poser 6
