Description

Yes, I've re-rendered my Praying Droid. This is my first render using HDRI lighting in Bryce 6. Nice effect eh? mind you it took 6 days to render with a Dual Core...Ouch! Take Care.

OUCH!! I thought version6 was suppose to be faster then 4&5. Seems slower to me. Honestly, I don't see reason for it to take that long to render even with the reflection. That does suck but most certainly worth it. Awsome model. ^_^

Hey SEspider, I gotta say this is my first HDRI, and knowing me I've set summit' wrong! User error and all that, teething problems or whatever. Only time will tell... :)

Excellent results. Perhaps play with the settings and start the render off a few times. The time the first pass is taking will be a good guide...

I concur MalenySteve... but I always fancied having a go with hdri, and could'nt resist ramping up the settings! Considering hdri must be at least 10 times more intensive than a good global lighting rig, suddenly the 6 days does'nt seem that bad. I bet it will be more like 6 hours when I get it sussed. :)

Superb! Your droid is a worthy subject for your HDRI experiments! Well worth the time as it looks so realistic. Fantastic level of detail!
