Description

Well...this didn't quite turn out like I'd planned. I'd originally thought to PSP together a few shots of the tree from different angles, but most of them keep coming out blurry. Not sure if it's the lower light or if I'm not holding the camera steady enough somehow, though most of the other pictures I've been taking are fine, so I don't think it's me. lol Anyway it's a very unique look to the tree, not just because we've got small kids and have most of the ornaments up and more out of reach. hehe. But as some of you know, I grew up in Germany, so I've got a fair share (though not nearly as many as I'd like) of German ornaments and decorations that I got while I was there. So now my tree is a nice amalgamation of German stuff from K

I dammed fine looking tree, and I like the concern with little ones. We for instance make sure to put the chocolates high up to keep our dog from getting at them!

I spent my first two Christmases in Germany John. What a beautiful shot. Such a pretty tree to celebrate Chrismas and the approaching New Year ahead. Very fine capture indeed. Have a very Happy and Prosperous New Year! Steve :o)

That's a very fine tree, John! Not only because of the German deco gg There's nothing better than real candles. No electric stuff can give the same light, the same atmosphere! Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!

Dear John, Christmas trees are TOUGH to photograph. A tripod will solve some of the problems, but not all. Most of the digital camera get confuded when trying to autofocus on them. Try turning it off and manually focusing - and then use a tripod or at least prop up against something. And even then, about one out of a handful come out right!!! In several cases, I tkaen picutre with the lights off and then "painted" them in!!! ARGGGGGHHHHH!!!! But - it looks very lovely and I'm sure was a real treat to your little ones!!! Just be careful with the candles - I saw a news story about someone that had burned their house down doing that. By the time we get trees here in the states they are usually dangerously dry!! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
