Excellent shot. I like the stark shadows, the sort one really gets in space.

Excellent work, as usual, David. Here, here on the positive future of mankind. So many people foo-foo space exploration and complain about "the problems we have here on earth". If we spent on space exploration only half of what we spend on wars and weapons, we'd have billions left over and a much more positive future with what we can achieve in space and beyond. Until we truly put forth a concerted effort to explore space, we'll never know the true benefits that lie beyond our stratosphere. I look forward to your work in 2007. Happy New Year.

I too share David's view, but while the Earth goes to hell in a handbasket, the lucky few will start again on a new and unspoilt planet somewhere in the distance of infinite space. I say this as it is announced that a new space telescope has been launched into orbit to search for that planet. David, all year I have watched in awe as you have created my dream before my very eyes. As a conceptual artist you are without equal - as a Bryce purist you are without peer. Thank you!

A superb vision of the future as always - 5 stars from me! Reminds me somewhat of the ship in 2001. The harsh shadows are perfect! I agree with all the commments about space exploration too - there is no more a noble and pure representation of the human spirit than to discover and understand the Universe of which we are part of. If the human race wasn't so caught up with wars, mindless consumerism and all the other "problems we have here on Earth", then we really could turn our collective attention to the rest of the Universe instead. Happy New Year and looking forward to your next vision of the future!
