Description
Canon 50mm f1.8. Post in Photoshop.
From the same day as the "Edinburgh Silhouette" and "Suspicion" shots and in the same place. The car park before the castle has a few monuments to various wars etc and this was one of the celtic crosses there with a nice intricate carving which i decided to capture here.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look. Hope you all had a great christmas!
Enjoy!

PS - i am having trouble calibrating my laptop monitor and the monitor here (at home) i have, so the question is: is this shot too dark?

Nice shot with the colour and the lighting mood of old Edimburgh.

Nice shot.

Not dark for me either. Middle blue works very well with a brownish olive colored cross...interesting POV.

Looks good to me! If you go to dpreview.com and check out one of the camera - reviews - they have a calibration bar at the beginning of each review - I found that simple tool pretty helpful. Your image? Love the POV. Am not sure on the DOF - was it applied in post? There's a pretty sharp transition on the left.
