Description
On this very cold night, I came out of work to find this sight. Had to capture it...
It was around 450pm and the cloud cover was so intense that it looked like it was much later. It was shocking to realize that the hole was really sky behind those coal black clouds. And the wind was so fierce it seemed to be blowing right through that hole!
I wish the clouds had more definition, or that I had a camera with about 80 filters, but you take with what you have!

How late was this? Was it a hole in the clouds, or a lit cloud?

Incredible atmosphere. I can imagine how you felt Sue. It seems like another world. I'm so glad you captured it and shared it here. And thanks for the explanation, it makes it all that more fantastic.

I LOVE this one--so atmostpheric! (No, no pun intended for once!) Great example, like a single Japanese brushstroke, of how a little can capture so much. I can really feel myself out there on that windy night under the racing clouds . . .thanks!
