Description

I been seeing this tree and photo it many times. I never posted it because I saw things wrong with the photo. So I keep trying and then with the film camera I shoot this and I liked it. I shot this last week end when I shoot the airboads. They are about 3 miles apart. Hope you all like it. thanks for comments and all.

Fine capture Jock, wonder why it died, lightening or some pollution in the soil maybe?. Still makes a beautiful picture though.

Those trees down south are so cool! I saw some years ago when I was in New Orleans.

Time for reflection and very visible contrasts between the old and the new, the dead and the living.

Lots to like about this fine photograph Jocko! My favorite part is the way you show both a live and dead tree of the same type. . . it makes me sad for the dead tree, yet also have hope as the live tree continues to survive. Excellent!

Dear Jock, With your dead oak you touch on something very interesting about people. There are a zillion trees in the forest, but we are always attracted to the dead and dying ones. The ones ravished by disease or struck by lighting or whatever. What we are seeing is the destruction of something - why do we find that so attractive?? And yet we do! Maybe art can be not only consturctive - but destructive, too!!!! Excellent photo!!! Love ya!! Meredith

Excellent pic. I see areas I would like to shot. There is this lady, every day on the way to work, she is out side reading the newspaper on her car, every day she has on a different night gown or robe. I wish I could have taken a pic each day. it is funny to see her. haha
