Description
Foot loose and fancy free, the sands drift, around, under and over.
Cover and uncover, hiding and exposing, ground, treasure and even hills at their whim.
Nature uses it to change the landscape.
Small creatures use it to escape the heat.
Man uses it to hide secrets.
Even though the sands are never really still, They keep their secrets.
South of Las Vegas there is a wagon load of whiskey, covered since 1895.
Along the red cliffs in AZ there are 10 4ft tubes of mercury, drifted over in 1903.
Many gold mines and caches have been lost when the sands want to move.
If you visit the desert and wander the sands, what will you find, a bottle, a canteen, gold or maybe even that wagon of whiskey.
If you go, take water, if not, you may become a secret the sands will keep.

Not only do I like your tale, for it's so true, but this is a beauty of a terrain, wonderful sands, and beautiful skies...
