So now I have a HUGE PROBLEM... my fellow RR-members corrected me in yesterday's upload, stating that I posted a fly, not a bee.
- Bee-autiful I !!-

Now how do I continue with my "bee"-series if there's flies inbetween? Ah, well, it will just have to Bee. lol
Thus, with this upload I'm not sure sure what insect it is... to Bee-or-not-to-Bee but to-Fly? You tell me. lol.
Have a great day / eve!

LOL @ HUGE PROBLEM! Never mind, it is a mimic species of the bee and judged on that the title may be of less importance, but I think your title for today is VERY creative and handles the ambiguity well, bravo! Excellent work and I think the white of the flower should get most of the credit for making the "bee" very prominent.

I have been fooled by mimics several times. especially the large ones makes a terribly loud buzzing sound and luckily all mimics can not bite or sting. it is all to intimidate predators.when I first posted a mimic Ennos(spelled wrong) was kind enough to tell me it is a mimic. flies only has one set of wings as bees has two. another fabulous macro and happy new year

very interesting macro. It looks good how the fly looks directly into our direction

I'm of the same mind as Piet. The flower is the stage and the bug is mearly a player. Great job.

Well - I would have taken the 1st shot for a bee as well - this one looks more the fly! From the thumbnail it looked like an action shot with zoom effect - but this is so much better. Great capture!

To bee, or not to bee, that is the question. Nice macro, but hard to identify the little bugger from this angle. I don't know, maybe it's a bee/fly hybrid; you can never tell these days with all the science stuff going on. Now that I look at the photo, with all that macro blurring it looks like an explosion is occurring in the background.
