Description

Taken at Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo in central New South Wales some years ago. These guys were very tame and you could feed them by hand under the supervision of a keeper if you did the special overnight stay where you sleep in a cabin inside the zoo grounds---a keeper took you around to the evening and morning feeds. The only drawback I remember is that the lions roaring and the howler monkeys sounding off kept us awake most of the night and I kept having recollections of all the B-grade jungle movies I saw as a kid.
