Yes, that is a genuine Sinclair Oil dinosaur standing on that lawn!
For folks overseas or too young to remember, the Sinclair Oil Company had a distinctive gimmick for their service stations-- green concrete brontosauri capable of looking cutomers in the eyes.
One would stand in the grass in front of each gas station. It was better than any common sign because it was irresistable to we Baby Boomers who would be bugging our Dads to let us go see the dino! We wanna see the dino!
You get the idea.
The Sinclair Dino was the inspiration for their 1964-65 New York World's Fair pavilion, The Sinclair Dinoland. That was a raised amphitheatre that looked like a natural landscape populated by animatronic dinosaurs.
This was twenty years before Jurassic Park. Now I wonder if teenaged Mike Crichton had also seen the Dinoland exhibit and filed it away for later inspiration.
Anyway.... as Sinclair stations either remodeled or ceased operation, the dinos met various fates. Occassionally you spot one on a roadside, shilling for a diner or drive-in. This one found a good home and probably a neighborhood full of kids who have climbed onto its back.

Dear David, This is REALLY cool!!! I love the dinosaur - and it REALLY gets the blond brain cells a cooking for a little "goodie" for next Christmas!!! Gonna have to save this one as reminder!!! Realyl cool and a very unique outdoor Christmas display!!! Love Ya!!! Meredith
