Description

Original size: 60 x 80 cm. Mixed Media: chalk pastel, watercolor on stretched 300 lb. w/c paper. This work follows a series of images that involve a group of three spheres, orbs, circles, etc. that started appearing in my work some years ago. The imagery emerged from pencil and ink sketches that I eventually attempted to put in larger format and color. A sense of flat surface on the one hand, and 3 dimensional space on the other is something that I have consistently been playing with. The idea of 'triads' has been showing up in my work since the 70's, so I might as well go with it wherever it leads.

Thanks for the positive comments. I am new to this community, having only discovered you all by "accident". Will be putting more things up as I can. With only one upload a day, it will take a while...
