Description

On October 24th, my friend TallPockets uploaded an image of a blue sky entitled: Tens and Tenths, and he asked: "What good is it if a man has ten times his needs whilst his neighbor has one tenth of his?" For this New Year I shall show you an example of this situation that is certainly very far from the worst possible one. In November I went to Thailand on holidays and I visited a silk factory. Here the workers are paid 100 euros (about 130$) for a week of 48 hours. They have no rights to medical access (they must pay entirely the doctor and drugs if they can), no pension when they are older than 65 (but in fact at 65 a majority of them die), they must pay the school for their children, nevertheless they have enough to eat, they sleep in a decent house, very often they ride recent and well-designed 100cc motorbikes, and there is no unemployment in Thailand. This beautiful woman is working on an entirely hand-powered loom, just as at the beginning of the 19th century. There is no steam, petrol or electric engine to drive this loom. So she has to pull the white rope at the right of the photo approximatively 2000 times per hour, so some 16,000 times a day, in a deafening noise!!! Sure she has much stronger muscles than Victoria4, Miki or Sydney, but frankly I don

Interesting, but I don't see the relevence to the Twin Towers. The Twin Towers occured because of Radical Islam, and only because of Radical Islam. The same Islam that is out to kill me because of Both my Jewishness and because I chose to live in my peoples ancestral homeland. They have no other reason than that. David P. Hoadley

Dear David, it is not at all my intention to excuse in any respects terrorist activity, or anybody who is willing to kill others because of his/her ethnic groups, and you know that some Jews are among my best friends: when Jews suffer, I suffer too. I would only say here that poverty is an excellent mould for terrorism, even if I do not deny that there are other reasons too as you said. You know the reasons of the birth of the Nazi movement in the twenties, they said they shall give food and employment to everybody (poverty and unemployment was huge in Germany after the 1929 crash) but in fact the Hitlerians only murdered or conducted to death 50 millions of people and they began to transform the rest of the world into a giant prison. Today the Nazis have very intelligent successors, if we do'nt want their success we have to cut the roots of the devilish tree. I cannot separate the fact that I am a citizen of this planet from my role as a graphic artist, even if I take much pleasure with image creation, as all of us do (but I answer you also as a scifi and adventure comic scenario-writer).

Thank you for posting this Edouard ... as "globalism" becomes entrenched for the benefit of the privileged, the middle class will decline and the number of disadvantaged will increase. The result? A world that reverts to ruling classes and serfs. Oh, and about 9-11 (the Twin Towers disaster) there are three possibilities: the government story is correct but considering that the American government, over the past few decades, lied about everything I find that unlikely; the US government knew about the impending attacks and allowed them to happen as a lynch-pin to furthering its agenda in the Middle East; rogue forces in the governments of the US and two other countries conspired to make it happen. For edification look up the position paper for "The Project for the New American Century" proposed by Neocon controllers of the US government. It spells it all out -- they needed a disaster like 9-11. Funny how shortly after the paper was published, they got their wish, i.e., a New Pearl Harbor. Remember this: Al Qaeda is a creation of the American CIA. Also recall the credo of the Mossad: "By way of deception, thou shalt do war." This world is run on the principles of deception. Anyway, thanks for posting this image. It provides much to think about.

I really dont know what to say about that, other that her shoulders and back must be hurting every day, or will do it when she gets older. And I wonder how she gets into and out of that.... thing. I have ben working over 10 years archiving papers. Sorting and sorting mountains of papers, nearly the same movements like hers, carrying and moving around boxes of the same papers, 9-10 kilos, just many times each box. I have ben typing for 10 other years, day out and day in, so I know, how she will feel with few years. It is difficult to sleep at night, because of pains. But I got a sallory I could live with. Insurence, for sickness and hospital. Thats few of the differences.

A miter...
