Description

For those who don't know (which is probably most people...) Morgan Kane is a fictional character from a series of western books. Pulp fiction type, but anyway one of the biggest book successes in Norwegian history. They're fairly well known in Scandinavia and in a few countries outside, too. And well... Morgan Kan has a lot in common with another fictional character for whom I have a certain weakness *LOL* I do see a pattern forming here... O.o ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Poser 7's Simon with a mix of my Free Faces for Simon and the Ultra textures. Timetraveller Western Clothes from CP. Peacemaker by Questor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rendered in Poser 7, very minor postwork in Photoshop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for looking. Comments are always appreciated. (in this case especially if you know about Morgan Kane *L*)

Looks like a very interesting character, I think I know what other character you are refering to. Hope you have a happy new year!

Nice! And I think I see the resemblance -- a Squib relative, perhaps? ;-) Must go look up those books & see what he's all about.

He looks the part.. what a great character! :) Ya know, he is the kind of guy who would have been after my great grandfather who used to rob stagecoaches back in the 1880's. ;) A wonderful render, dear.

Excellent, but is this an American series translated into Norwegian, or a native Norwegian series that takes for its local the American Frontier West? But for the lack of a mustache, he could pass for a carbon copy of Wyatt Earp. DO keep up the work!

Thanks all. David, it's a norwegian series, and AFAIK it has never been translated into english. I can't even find anything ABOUT Morgan Kane in english online, even the Wikipedia article is Norwegian only (well that and finnish...)

I find most really interesting "westerns" were written by people who had never been to the american west. The Winnetou series from Karl Mai is one of the most beloved western series about indians and cowboys yet the writer had never been in the United States ever in his life. I read some things about Morgan Kane here in Europe, but never in english either. I know the Norwegians have a love of the romantic old west too, mainly because its outside of their history. The image is great, I love the clothing, the face morph and yes the hand posing and texuring is really great. This is a bit outside of your normal rendering isn't it Trekkie? Beautiful render! Look forward to seeing more from this series.

His eyes and ears are so real looking. I can't help but stare at them. :)Freaky. Nice scars on his hand, and the way his adam's apple sticks through his collar is a very nice touch. His fingers are posed very nicely on the gun. I like when people take the time to do that right. Nice pose with the gun, too. Excellent render, Lisbeth. Good job!
