Description

The dark elves of Melyshan have been through troubled times after the civic war which caused the two greatest houses of the city to nearly destroy each other. With the former governor of the city, the sorceror Elessaine D'Aurgerac, fleeing in exile with the few survivors of his house, and house Verilaine's army weakened to the point where controlling the other houses would be impossible, the Council of the Deep retrieved their support to the city, claiming Melyshan to be free game for their enemies and former allies alike. While the other houses were struggling to gain control and unable to ally between themselves because of the intrinsic drowish lack of trust, a new power emerged from an unlikely place. Mistress Lysha'Al Verilaine, last noble survivor of her house, left her hermitage at the Obsidian Caves with the other witches of Laceltha and returned home with an army of the worst beasts and demons the underworld had to offer at the tips of her magic. But as savage and dangerous her pets can be, none of them could hope to near the sheer rage of Jaloth Verilaine, brother, husband and keeper, warlord and sorceror. It is said that Jaloth alone cleared the gates of house Andarelle for Lysha'Al, and the only one thing that can keep his sadistic and furious nature under control is the love for her sister and wife, something that she has no regret to use to her advantage. * ~ * ~ * Hiyyyya all!!! New year, new render, right? ;) Besides, i'd been wanting to make a drow picture for far too long - after all, they are the embodiement of the dark side... how could i miss the chance to properly represent them? *bwahahahah* This image has two important notes about it - first, it's a thank you and a dedication for silverspirit... oh... or spiritsilver... uhhh... an incorporeal being of some precious metal anyway, which was kind enough to let me play with her new V4 drow... not to mention that, being... well... *me*... i had never heard of Daio's drows either before she pointed me the right way - thank you a lot, and i hope you like this one lil thing!! ;) Second... albeit being a bit late, i wanted to send, to all the ones to whom i haven't sent already (i know i'm missing people... sorry folk... not to mention my mail gets rejected two times in three it looks... not even the mail servers can stand me anymore! O.O) some good wishes - ***Happy Halloween***!!! Oh... erm... wait... uhhh... xmas? ... no, uh? Dam... that wasn't that... mmm... oh, yes!! **Happy new year** to each and everyone that walked their (virtual) path alongside with me on this year! You all rock, peeps!!! :D btw... i tried to upload yesterday but my connection wouldn't let me past the upload page, so... eh! ;) Ok, ok... 'nuff blathers... let me pass on to the credit list: Lyona V4 - silverspirit Lost Land - Danie, Marforno, Abraham (a huge TY Sabine... i love it! ;) Pharaoh of the Sun - AS3Designs Egypt Hairs - 3Dream Drow for the Freak - Daio Dark Paladin - Vampir3Princess, Leshtat Dark Paladin Styles - karanta Gala - Moyra V4 Fantasy Collar Set - AS3Design Black Widow - Debra Ross Gargoyle Hound - Daz3d Dragon Scales - nikitacreed Mystic Props - poisen Dark Haven - Laurie Stanley Gothic Construction Set - Stonemason Halloween 2006 - Danie, Marforno Skull Jewelry - Sexy Leather for V4 - Pretty3d Dark Elves Collection (David) - Luthbel Gladiator Sandals - Jim Burton Dark Corner - Danie, Marforno, Abraham Cobwebs & Fire brushes - Obsidian Dawn (redheadstock at DA) Drool tutorial - kirisute (sorry mate... couldn't make a face shot of the doggie this time either... he didn't want to stand still and kept trying to hack off the camera... LOL!) ... and of course thanks to everyone who took a peek (and especially to the brave few who managed to bear with me and read all the garbage above till down here... WOW!! :O ) - any comment or suggestion you might wish to leave are welcome!! ;) 'Till next time Grim

Grimmies!!! Happy Easter to you, too, buddy! As alyways, it's fantastic to see you posting your huge scenes, and with Drows this time, no less! You really put so much into your work and I don't know how you get all this stuff in one frame! I love the Drows from the old D&D games, so I can relate to this perfectly! I can appreciate that fantastic text that accomodates this scene and really adds some flavor to the image! Amazing work, as always, Cris, and your details are a big treat! Happy Thanksgiving to you, buddy, and I wish you the best 2007 ever!

That is a lot of careful construction in there (I know I'm bad, I'm walking around admiring the cobwebs and looking under the furniture instead of being properly respectful of the Drow sorceress and her lord) and tell me ..that isn't a Christmas texture on the Hound??? You are quite demented as well as talented;-)) You know, I really like those cobwebs. I would have been so tempted to start blowing them around on everything, they look incredibly real. Ouch! Could you please have Mistress Lysha let go of my ear? I was just looking behind the skull...

Dear Cris, This is really cool - and so richly details - there are a zillion things in this picture. I realyl like the big cheshire cat? dog? beast? whatever? (Is it safe to pet him/her????) Probably not! Somehow or another, I doubt if this are the right gals for me to invite to join the bridge club - we don't have very many members that decorate with skulls!!! I'm also a little late - so - Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith

You're very welcome and again, Happy New Year! :) Excellent story, stunning render and wonderfully detailed scene -- I particularly love the way your hound is guarding his skull, lol :) Drows are so cooooool -- except the one I play as in NWN2 -- keeps dying :)
